Pre-Vocational and Supported Employment Services

360 Community Services offers vital Omaha DD services.

We offer Residential Services, Day Services, A&D Services, and Pre-Vocational and Supported Employment Services.

Residential Services: Developmental Disability Waiver Services

Residential Services provided in a single-family home setting are called Shared Living Services. Shared Living Services are delivered in a continuous manner, supporting people in the least restrictive environment in the community. Shared Living Services provide specialized training and support for the acquisition, retention or improvement of skills related to living in the community.

These include adaptive skill development in the activities of daily living to include but not limited to:

  1. Basic communication skills: using a regular phone, mobile phone, email, or the internet
  2. Transportation: either by driving oneself, arranging rides, or the ability to use public transportation
  3. Meal preparation: meal planning, cooking, clean up, storage, and the ability to safely use kitchen equipment and utensils
  4. Shopping: the ability to make appropriate food and clothing purchase decisions
  5. Housework: doing laundry, washing dishes, dusting, vacuuming, and maintaining a clean place of residence
  6. Managing medications: taking the correct amount of medication at the correct time, managing re-fills and avoiding conflicts
  7. Managing personal finances: operating within a budget, writing checks, paying bills, and avoiding scams
  8. Opportunities for Socialization and Belonging

Day Services

Our Day Service options have been created to provide people with fun, meaningful activities and interactions, to not just fill the day but assist people with acquiring appropriate social and behavioral skills in order to participate in community activities and social settings. This service is provided and funded under the DD or Developmental Disability Waiver.

We tend to have fun each day, participating in structured Volunteer Activities at various community integrated locations. In addition, our Habilitative Community Inclusion programs offer a wider variety of individual choice from Arts, Sports, Healthy Living, Cooking to Gardening and Recreation; as well as structured self help groups and topics lead by our Licensed Therapists each day to work toward greater levels of independence and self advocacy.

Aged and Disabled Waiver Services (A&D)

For people that are not yet qualified for the DD waiver, our Day Services accept and support people qualified for the Aged and Disabled Waiver for Day Services.  The activities and support are the same as Community Inclusion, simply funded by an alternate source. Contact us to inquire about openings in this category of service.

Pre-Vocational and Supported Employment Services

Pre-Vocational Service is a habilitative service that provides learning and work experiences, including career planning, job searching and work experiences. The participant can develop general non-job-task-specific strengths and skills that contribute to future employability in paid employment in integrated community settings.

Supported Employment is an individualized habilitative service designed to help a participant obtain and maintain competitive or customized employment or self-employment in an integrated work setting. This service is provided through formalized training and supports.
